Historically-Informed Artwork – I originally made this game for a 10-day game jam in 2023 using pre-made art, but remastered it in 2026 with entirely new artwork that I drew myself! NOTE: This game includes spoilers for The Odyssey. About This Game This game takes about 30 minutes to finish, has no sound, and is meant to be played in one sitting (meaning, there’s no save function!) Customizable Cards – Build a deck of ‘story cards,’ upgrade them to create new drafts of your poem, and perform the whole thing in front of a crowd. Each image is based on real Greek pottery. The Odyssey is one of my favorite stories, and I hope this helps make it more accessible to those who have struggled with reading it in the past! Gross! The release is meant to be enjoyed first and foremost, but I did include historically-informed nuggets for anyone interested in the subject. Maybe You’ll Learn Something – Learning? Developed Live on Stream – I created this game partly to teach myself GameMaker, and fumbled my way through developing it (as well as drawing all the current artwork) on livestreams and videos.
