It consists of two crescent-shaped wooden or bamboo pieces, each with a flat side (yang) and a rounded side (yin). About This Game About Jiaobei: Jiaobei is a traditional Chinese method of divination, also known as “casting jiao” or “casting beijiao.” It is mainly used to seek guidance from and communicate with deities. Do not cast the Jiaobei blocks before you have finished stating your request or question. In some regions, three consecutive Sacred Cups are regarded as a clear sign from the deity. The question should be reorganized and asked again. Remember not to be suspicious, greedy, or fearful. Two flat sides is a “Laughing Cup,” which means the question was not asked clearly enough, or the deity is not giving a definite answer.
